Very seldom is one blessed to befriend a truly special and wonderful person. Menos was someone who epitomised all the qualities of an extraordinary friend. I’ll never forget his love, kindness, generosity, laughter and gusto that he applied to everything in life. I’ll remember Menos for so many things but just to mention a few. Friday night drinks after work. Always filled with lots of laughter and listening to Planet Rock in the background. Menos’s and Hilary’s wonderful cooking and dinner parties were always a treat and not to be missed. Our amazing trip together to Greece and Stelio’s wedding in Paros. Menos and Hilary’s exciting stories about Oman which endorsed my partner’s decision to take up a 2 year teaching post in Oman. Bev absolutely loved the experience. Menos and I were both born in Africa. Unexplainably, it captures a little of your soul forever. It is with great sadness that I bid farewell to a very dear friend but he will always be remembered and have a place in my heart.
