i met menos whilst working in the sultanate of Oman , he worked in the medical school of University hospital and i worked in Intensive care unit and got to know him through Hilary . Great character , played football with him , he was lethal in the centre circle , as one footed as they come and nobody could understand how he ruptured his achilles as he did move that  enough to rupture anything . Used to spend great evenings watching football with Jeff and Jo  Windsor , tim joseph and a few others - we all had 1 think in common all hated Man Utd - Menos was a rabid Leeds United fan , great ranconteur and all round lovely bloke - i once attended one his lectures on Brain function and realised this hard drinking foul mouthed footy addict was also brilliant teacher - an absolute natural . Just was able to communicate with anybody - very sad loss .RIP my old friend.

Really fond memories of a special guy , gutted for Hilary and the girls.
